Jade Lemon is grown in the warm, humid climate of southeast China. While other lemons begin to release some of their oils aromatically as they turn yellow, the jade lemon fruit remains green even in maturity, allowing the concentration of oil to continue within the fruit. The oil is released only after the fruit is picked, giving it a richer and more fragrant aroma.
Jade Lemon contains high levels of d-limonene, which helps invigorate, uplift, and energise, as well as support clarity of thought and purpose. This oil supports skin health and is useful to clean and purify. A 1995 Mie University study also found that citrus fragrances induce relaxation and invoke feelings of happiness.
How to use:
Mix Citronella essential oil to enjoy a pleasant, citrus scented annoyance free outdoor experience.
Add to dishwashing detergent for a spot-free rinse and to help clean your dishwasher.
Add 10–15 drops to Young Living lotions and shampoos to energize the spirit.
We cold-press Grapefruit essential oil from the peels of the fresh fruit for a citrusy oil with the bright aroma of a grapefruit orchard. It’s this sweet, invigorating aroma that members enjoy for its ability to encourage feelings of joy, satisfaction, and playfulness.
Not only is Grapefruit oil perfect for diffusing, but it’s also a great addition to DIY skin care products from lotions to bath salts. Get creative and combine it in a salt body scrub with other skin-toning oils such as Lemon and Juniper for a simple home spa experience that gives your skin a smooth-looking glow.
How to use:
When you’re feeling the tired, hungry, 3 p.m. lag, diffuse Grapefruit for an invigorating aroma that can support a sense of positivity to help you power through.
Treat yourself to a luxurious, essential oil-infused massage with V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex and Grapefruit essential oil, focusing on desired areas. You’ll love the invigorating aroma and smoother-looking skin.
Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for up to 12 hours after applying product.
Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has a scent that’s a wonderful blend of fresh, floral, clean, and calm. It’s this dynamic aroma that has made the flower a classic for perfumes, soaps, fresheners, and beauty products. As one of our most popular products, Lavender oil is a great beginner oil and a must for every home.
Lavender essential oil isn’t just a favorite because of its classic scent—it’s also highly versatile. From skin care products to relaxing routines, this oil can infuse many areas of your life.
You can find Young Living Lavender oil in blends such as Stress Away™, Harmony™, RutaVaLa™, Tranquil™, and Forgiveness™.
How to use:
Treat yourself to this well-loved aroma by adding a few drops of oil to lotions, shampoos, and skin care products.
Create a spa-like retreat by combining 1 cup Epsom salt and 4 drops oil and adding to a hot bath.
Make a basic homemade body scrub with coconut oil, sugar, and Lavender essential oil.
Unwind with a Lavender-infused neck or back massage.
Use Lavender as part of your evening routine. Rub oil on the bottom of your feet before bed or spritz your pillow with distilled water and Lavender mixed in a spray bottle.
Create a DIY room freshener with Lavender or diffuse it to banish stale odours.
Grown and distilled from trees at Young Living's farm in Ecuador, Ylang Ylang oil is extracted by steam distilling the star-shaped flowers found on the tropical Ylang Ylang tree. With its rich, floral scent, Ylang Ylang essential oil has become a popular element in luxurious and indulgent perfumes and skin care products.
Ylang Ylang benefits include its nourishing properties, as well as its rich, romantic scent, which is why you might find this oil in high-end hair care products and spa treatments. Add it to a steamy bath, creamy moisturizer, or nourishing homemade hair mask for an easy at-home spa day.
How to use:
Rub on your wrists and neck to leave a calming, floral fragrance you can smell throughout the day.
Use Ylang Ylang’s moisturizing properties as part of your skin care regimen by adding the oil to a neutral lotion or non-comedogenic carrier oil.
Add a couple of drops to coconut oil for a deep-conditioning hair treatment that will leave hair smelling floral and sweet.
Put a few drops into a hot bath to unwind after a long day.
Bergamot essential oil has a light citrus aroma, which makes it a great oil to help you get going in the morning or refresh your kitchen before dinner. The peel of the yellow-green, orange-shaped fruit is cold pressed to create the pure Young Living Bergamot oil found in homes around the world.
Bergamot’s aroma is tart yet sweet and uplifting yet relaxing, making it a popular oil in perfumes, cosmetics, and lotions. In addition to its scent, Bergamot has attracted attention for its cleansing properties, and it’s often used as a luxurious ingredient in shampoos, soaps, and cleansers. However, because Bergamot can cause photosensitivity, avoid applying the oil before spending time outside.
How to use:
Diffuse at home, in the classroom, or while working to create an uplifting, positive environment.
Place in the palms of your hands and inhale to experience a calming aroma during unsettling times.
Combine a couple of drops with V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex and use for an invigorating massage.
Add to your nightly skin care regimen to create the appearance of smoother-looking skin. Keep in mind that Bergamot can cause photosensitivity, so avoid sun exposure after any application.
Include a few drops in homemade cleaners to add an uplifting aroma to your chores.
Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays for up to 48 hours after applying product.
Like Eucalyptus Radiata, Eucalyptus Globulus is a eucalyptus oil from the large, aromatic eucalyptus trees of the Myrtaceae family. The tree’s leaves are steam distilled to produce the earthy, fresh oil that is popular in personal care products and spa treatments.
Eucalyptus Globulus is known for its cleansing properties and stimulating scent, and like other eucalyptus oil uses, it is often applied topically or diffused aromatically. In fact, Eucalyptus Globulus essential oil can be found in Young Living’s Breathe Again Roll-On™ and R.C.™ essential oil blend. When diffused, Eucalyptus Globulus also gives rooms and offices a refreshing atmosphere that’s perfect for spaces where you study, meditate, or exercise.
How to use:
Use its cleansing benefits by adding a couple drops to your favorite facial cream. Be careful of the sensitive eye area, since Eucalyptus Globulus can leave a tingling sensation.
Add to V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex for a calming and refreshing massage
Inhale directly or rub onto your chest for an uplifting, refreshing experience.
Fresh, nostalgic, and instantly recognizable, Peppermint essential oil’s scent invigorates the mind and senses, while inspiring a sense of peace. Used topically, Peppermint oil creates a cool, tingling sensation on the skin, making it a favorite for sports massage and an important part of Young Living’s Raindrop Technique.
When your day is dragging—through a workout, class, or day at work—enjoy some Peppermint oil benefits by applying it to your head and neck. The refreshing aroma will give you a boost of positivity! Peppermint is also a great option for diffusing on its own or with compatible scents such as Lavender, Rosemary, Spearmint, or Sage!
How to use:
After a tough workout, dilute a few drops of Peppermint in V-6™ Vegetable Oil Complex, and use it in a refreshing post-workout massage.
Create your own home spa! Add Peppermint and Eucalyptus Radiata to hot bath water and enjoy the relaxing, invigorating scent and aromatic steam.
Peppermint is in the same family as both Lavender and Rosemary. Diffuse the oils of these powerful botanicals together for a fresh aroma that uplifts the spirit.
